Setting Sail, 2022

Boats in hats, pirates, and dress up— my art helps me heal my inner child. As a young girl, I rejected dresses and instead wanted to parade around in my favorite pirate costume. As I grew older, I fell in love with femininity and the multitudes within me that clung to the sweet and playful memories from my childhood. I water these memories as I make art that celebrates every facet of me that was, is, and will become.
